Release of “Water Conflicts in Northeast India: A Compendium of Case Studies” and The Second Northeast Water Lecture at Guwahati, 21 June 2013
Forum and Aaranyak, Guwahati organised the release of “Water Conflicts in Northeast India: A Compendium of Case Studies” – cum - the Second Northeast Water Lecture on 21 June 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Guwahati. The Second Northeast Water Lecture was delivered by Prof. Amita Baviskar, Institute of Economic Growth, Delhi and Advisory Committee member of the Forum, on Waterscapes: Bringing Culture and Power into the Debate on Rivers.
The public lecture was preceded by the release of “Water Conflicts in Northeast India: A Compendium of Case Studies” brought out by the Forum. Prof. A. C. Bhagabati released the Compendium. Prof. Dulal C. Goswami chaired the function.
The release event and lecture was attended by more than 90 people.
