Kerala State Resource Centre
Towards Resolving Upstream Downstream Conflicts in Chalakudy River Basin, Kerala
As envisaged, the Kerala State Centre has been set up with the intention of engaging in active conflicts, conflict documentation, and dialogue towards conflict resolution and policy intervention. Dr. Latha A. from Chalakudy Puzha Samrakshana Samithi will coordinate the centre and work of the Forum in Kerala. The project team includes S. P. Ravi, R. Sival and Rajneesh. The important activities to be taken up by the Kerala Centre include:
- Action research towards resolving upstream downstream conflicts in Chalakudy River Basin
- Resource centre for documentation and out reach
- Creation of space for dialogue and negotiation on active conflicts
- Assist legal and policy intervention on water conflicts
