We just came to know from Doraiswamy of Jalaspandana that Shri K.V. Rao expired due to cardiac arrest on 24 August 2009 at 8 pm at his residence Kolluru village and mandal, near Tenali, Guntur District. As you all know he has been closely associated with the work of the Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India and in the first phase he was also part of the Steering Committee.
Shri. Rao was an expert and progressive farmer and well versed with Participatory Irrigation Management, Organic Farming, System of Rice Intensification to name a few. His sudden passing away is a great loss to the Forum and water and agriculture sectors in general. We share in the grief of his family members.
