The Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India

The Forum (Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India) is an effort to bring together all those interested in working on issues related to water conflicts in India into a loose network for action and interaction. The Forum intends to cover four broad areas:

5th South Asia Research Conference

SaciWATERs in collaboration with Royal Society for Protection of Nature, Bhutan calls for paper for the 5th South Asia Research Conference focusing on the issue - Globalization of Governance - Implications for Water Management in South Asia. The workshop will be held in Bhutan during
May 3-5, 2010.

The Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India is happy to invite you to the panel discussion on "Can water conflicts in India be resolved by putting water in Concurrent list, particularly in the context of impact of climate change on hydrological cycle?" to be held on 16 November from 5 to 8 pm at Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi. A provisional programme is given below.

Sad Demise of Shri. K.V. Rao

We just came to know from Doraiswamy of Jalaspandana that Shri K.V. Rao expired due to cardiac arrest on 24 August 2009 at 8 pm at his residence Kolluru village and mandal, near Tenali, Guntur District. As you all know he has been closely associated with the work of the Forum for Policy Dialogue on Water Conflicts in India and in the first phase he was also part of the Steering Committee.
